Comprehensive examinations without referral or prior appointment
Urological ultrasound
Male reproductive organs, including testicles, epididymis, and prostate—focusing on swelling, pain, tumours, and other issues.
We also perform examinations of the bladder, ureters, kidneys, kidney function and failure, as well as kidney stones and kidney tumours.
In addition, we examine lymph nodes in the groin area.
Please note: We currently do not perform examinations of female reproductive organs.
Neck
Thyroid and parathyroid glands, cervical lymph nodes, salivary glands, neck vessels (carotid arteries and cerebral inflows), supraclavicular and subclavicular lymph nodes, and neck tumours.
Abdominal cavity
Pancreas, liver—including liver inflammation, fatty liver, liver cysts and tumors. We also examine the spleen, gallbladder, bile ducts, and perform functional assessment of the renal arteries. Additionally, we check abdominal lymph nodes and the small pelvis, including the uterus and ovaries through the abdominal wall (excluding a full gynecological examination).
Joints
Muscles, tendons, blood vessels–arteries and veins, joint capsules, meniscus, upper and lower limbs.
Pathological cavities, post-trauma ultrasound, orthopedic ultrasound
Orthopedic musculoskeletal examination for an orthopedist or surgeon, carpal tunnel assessment at the wrist, and ultrasound of any body organ upon request (excluding gynecological examination).
Other
Breasts and axillae (armpits).

Examination
The examination fee is 100 €
The ultrasound clinic at Hliny in Povazska Bystrica provides comprehensive care, including the option of on-site medication treatment immediately after the examination.
MUDr. Tholt can issue a prescription on the spot, saving you a trip to your general practitioner.
You also do not need an appointment—patients are seen in order of arrival, helping you save time.
If your diagnosis requires specialized treatment or surgery, we will arrange a phone appointment with the appropriate specialist or surgeon.
We can also provide a referral for a CT or MRI scan without unnecessary delays, significantly reducing your wait time.
Medical prescription
You can pick up the prescribed medication at the pharmacy right away.
If any of the medicines are temporarily unavailable, we will immediately issue a replacement prescription so you can start the necessary treatment without delay.
